The Campout At Watkins Glen KOA in September is now Canceled.
The group decided not to pursue a lower price option for the previously planned Watkins Glen KOA September weekend. We discussed the WNY Winnie’s request for lower price, Chuck had reviewed their proposed alternatives, and we discussed and dismissed Sned Acres based on geography and lack of response from Sned.
For anyone that made reservation, the cancellation policy appears to be $20 if cancelled one week or more in advance, but please confirm with the campground.
We decided to cancel the Watkins Glen September Campout and consider options for an October Campout at southern locations. Potential options discussed included Cape Charles VA and Harper’s Ferry West Virginia, but nothing has been decided. This Campout is still tentative and will be decided after some additional research and input from potential attendees.

Camping Weekends
Two couples co-host our weekends, choosing the camping location and the restaurant for the traditional communal meal with the interests of the group in mind. The co-hosts coordinate breakfast and dinner prep for the group and organize activities including field trips, hayrides, shopping, wine tasting, and more. It’s all casual and informal, with co-hosts taking up the role only once or twice in a camping season. Carpooling is the norm for the restaurant visit since not everyone tows a vehicle. Hosting for a new member is always with the help of another experienced couple.

June 7 -9 - IT IS WAY MORE THAN AN AIRSHOW! Just an update regarding the Reading Airshow at the Reading airport. The real event is called The Mid-Atlantic Air Museum’s WWII Weekend.
It’s a gathering of warbirds that has become the premiere event of this kind for over three decades, we honor our history through D Day, remembrance vehicles, and aircraft display shows, war veterans and speakers, vendors and demonstration, battles, and education, the Homefront, education and reenactment at war and at home with big bands and swing dancing.
We currently have registered Winnie’s members at the Sills Family Campground,
